Positions We’re Hiring For
Registered Veterinary Technician
RVT
Fast-paced, family-owned, Van Crest Animal is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant. The ideal candidate fulfills many roles within the hospital setting, including surgery assistance, collecting and conducting laboratory tests, patient nursing, triage, emergency care, client support and education, record maintenance, cleaning and stocking the premises, and working with and supporting your fellow employees. This individual must be detail-oriented and well organized. They must also make good decisions, follow directions, and provide and maintain a high standard of patient care.
Requirements and Skills
- Must be licensed as an Registered Veterinary Technician by the state of South Carolina (or in the process of obtaining a license)
- Must be able to read and write legibly and communicate clearly in English.
- Must have basic computer skills; experience with “DVMAX” computer system is preferred.
- Must be able to lift and carry an object or pet weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to handle and restrain pets as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Client Services Representative
CSR
Our Client Service Representatives work closely with our doctors and are encouraged to ask questions, think ahead of the doctors, and advocate for our furry friends. Our clinic is known for its hospitality, client education, cleanliness, and excellent patient care. Individuals in this position within the practice are the first and last impression our clients have when visiting. All employees in this role must have a strong emphasis on customer service. Van Crest Animal Hospital & Boarding is in search of a person that is highly personable and perceptive that is well organized, can solve problems, educate the clients, and works well on a team.
Requirements and Skills
- Must be good with people and have a love for pets
- Must be well organized and arrive to work on time
- Candidates should be approachable, honest, hardworking, computer savvy, and be adept at multi-tasking efficiently.
- Have enthusiasm, a positive can-do attitude, the maturity to handle various waiting room situations with grace.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be meticulous and thorough; and above all, follow the established protocols with the help of a checklist (and follow any other directions given to you by your supervisor).
