VCAH Covid-19 Response and Procedures

COVID-19

To our wonderful clients:

Van Crest Animal Hospital & Boarding and Boarding is here to ensure that your pet continues to receive the best care possible, despite the current circumstances. In order to do this, we must maintain the health of both our employees and clients through the implementation of specific safety procedures and protocols. Please refer to the information below for a detailed explanation of what these procedures are.

For both new and existing clients arriving for an appointment, day admit, boarding, or surgery drop-off, please call the clinic phone number at 803-794-6550 and let us know that you are here. Please provide the Customer Service Representative with your first name, last name, and your pet’s name. Please provide the best number for our team members to contact you on. We also ask that pet owners notify the staff if their pet has been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

After check-in, please place your pet in the fenced-in area and wait with them until a team member can come out and retrieve them. During your appointment, please stay in your vehicle and keep your cell phone at hand so that we can retrieve the history of your pet promptly.

For clients dropping pets off for boarding, surgery, or day admits, we will call to go over discharge instructions and schedule a pick-up time for you. When you arrive for pick-up, please call the office to let us know that you are here. Again, please provide your first name, last name, and pet’s name.

For payment, we ask that you either make your payment via phone or at the side window. After payment is collected, a team member will bring your pet back into the fenced-in area. Please be ready to retrieve your pet from the fenced-in area.

In addition to the curbside system that we have implemented, we ask that clients please wear masks when interacting with our staff and maintaining a safe six-foot distance. We are trying our best to provide shorter wait times and continue satisfactory service, and these steps will help us to better achieve those goals.

We would like to express our appreciation as we all work to navigate this new normal. These procedures are new to all of us, and as with anything, may be subject to change or modification. Please remember that you and your pet are at the forefront of our minds and that we are doing everything that we can to ensure that you both have a safe, timely, and positive visit.

Continue to stay safe and healthy,
Van Crest Animal Hospital & Boarding and Boarding Doctors and Staff
